• RIP Cornrows. That´s right, mis treinas (no idea if I spelled that right, but that´s what people call them) started unravelling a couple days ago and they were beyond all hope this morning so I took them out. They weren´t going to last much longer anyway.

• I had an apple with my lunch today. That´s right, even here you can find Washington apples once in a while.

10 comments, huh? I think that´s a new record, even if 4 of them were from Danny. Someone else actually commented last night on my resemblence to Sean Paul. I´m not sure that I like that. Anyway, thanks for all of your thoughts, I always appreciate them.

Nothing much else new going on here. I purchased a few pairs of speakers for the computer lab, which should make some of the programs more useful. Either that or it will just make this place more chaotic. Time will tell.

Friday night, some friends of mine were trying to convince me that it would be a great idea if I got my hair braided. In a "what the hell" type of moment I agreed to do this. A Dominican friend who was there called up a friend of his who could do it, and just like that I had an apointment for 3pm on Saturday. An hour and a half later (who knew it took so long?) here's the result.

Yeah, yeah, I know I said I would post some pictures last week. Not only did I not post anything additional last week, it´s taken me until Friday of this week to check back in here in the ole blogosphere. And to top it off, this is going to be a bit of a drive-by posting. What does this all mean? I´m a complete failure as a human being. I can admit it. I have been fairly busy, however, with trying to get some new programs running in the computer lab and generally trying to make it more organized. As an offering of good faith, here´s one photo from two weeks ago. This is Mike and me watching the Sugar Bowl.

Yes, I'm Still Alive

Hola, amigos. I know it's been a long time since I rapped at ya, but it's been a bit hectic lately. I made it back here safe and sound New Year's Eve and met my friends Mike and Meredith at the airport. After dropping my bags at my place, the rest of the day was spent catching up with Mike, getting to know Meredith (finally got to meet her), and then enjoying the festivities on the beach with a whole hell of a lot of other people. There were some fireworks, tents and stages, and about 4 times as many people as a typical Saturday night, but other than that it was the same type of atmosphere as I've seen in evenings past.

The rest of the week was sort of like I was on vacation. I spent most of my time with Mike and Meredith and didn't really check my email or do any work. We did have a few meetings, but school did not start until this week so there was not much going on. I've been back in the regular routine since Monday.

Just thought I'd post a quick note here so everyone doesn't forget about me. I'll try to get some pictures up later this week. Ciao.
